Just went for dinner and had Nasi Kerabu and roti jala— 2 of my favourite Malaysian foods! Was delicious! The service was lovely — everyone was kind, and Kaksu is such a sweet and friendly lady. Thankyou!

Although it’s a bit out of the way from the shops, the food tastes better than it looks. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

Lemak Manis Cafe brings together a few Malaysian food vendors selling rice with dishes, roti and satay. We got a nasi kerabu with paru (beef lung). The paru a bit over-fried this time, almost like jerky but the nasi kerabu was otherwise delicious. We also ordered the beef satay set. Each meaty stick was freshly grilled over charcoal, leaving the fatty bits addictively charred. Food can take awhile to come out and it's not the most comfortable place to dine in tbh, with rickety chairs and tables and uneven floors. But the vibes will transport you straight to the mamak stalls in Malaysia with majority of customers being Malaysian. This place is about a 10 min walk from Yennora Station, through a quiet industrial area. Personally, I'd avoid walking this route solo at night.

Lemak Manis Cafe in Guildford is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the area. If you’re looking for authentic Malaysian food that’s cooked with care and full of flavour, this is the place. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming – it felt like stepping into someone’s home rather than just a restaurant. I ordered the Nasi Lemak with fried chicken, and it was exceptional. The rice was aromatic and cooked to perfection, the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the sambal – wow – spicy, slightly sweet, and full of depth. You can really taste that it’s homemade. I also tried the roti canai, which was light, flaky, and perfect for dipping. Every bite was satisfying. What stood out even more was the attention to detail – from the presentation of the dishes to the explanations from the staff when I asked about a few items I wasn’t familiar with. They clearly care about sharing their culture and food in an approachable way, whether you're already a fan of Malaysian cuisine or trying it for the first time. The cafe itself is clean, cozy, and tastefully decorated – nothing over the top, just a calm, comfortable space where the food really shines. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. Overall, Lemak Manis offers something truly unique in Guildford – a place where you can enjoy comforting, flavourful food made with heart. I’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good food and friendly service.

Nice place for a quick nearby dinner run authentic Malaysian food, love the sambal kerang. Other food are also tasty.. nice undercover outdoor dining area, feels like we're in Malaysia.

Most dishes have similar names and could not remember what we ordered. Like the fried rice. Not much service, though we didn't need nor expect. I don't think it has indoor sitting. We were sitting outdoor in a cold day, so the experience wasn't great, but it was fine overall. Lots of local visit while eating, so I think the taste is very close to the home place. It situate in a industry area which is a bit hard to find.
